Ok, I’ve been a little M.I.A. I’m sorry. :(
The honest truth; I got my fist vaccine dose and slept for what seemed like 2 days straight. Also, if we really have to blame someone it shouldn’t be me. It should be these people below. Yep, those seemingly nice looking people that I haven’t seen in I don’t know, 2 years? Yep, they came vaccinated took over my space and actually wanted to spend time with me. Can you imagine? They are so needy.
So, yes, I’ve been light this week but wanted to share something I have been wearing non-stop from Maison d’Etto as a peace offering.
Not only do I love what I smell like in their scents but their scarf is stunning and with the simple graphic pattern it complements neutrals effortlessly. Ok, yes we’ve talked about scarves before, I haven’t lost my mind yet, but this scarf is long, silky and specific.. so hope it inspires some different ideas for you.
Oldie but goodie, a nod to the Queen. Yes this face is an actual inspiration as well.
Tie the front ends of the scarf behind your neck, keep the back tail of the scarf under it to avoid flapping around or bring the tail over the knot for your best Grace Kelly, inset vintage Mercedes.
Messy is better with this wrap around. I have no rules and it looks different every time. I love this during the summer or in this case with something more polished like a blazer. A general rule if you find your silky scarves slipping from your head is to discretely use bobby pins to keep them in place.
The oversized pony tail tie. This look is very 1950’s and I’m here for it. Try it with more structured items or with a swim suit and high waisted jeans. Let people admire you from the back this time.
The Double knot is easy and cool. Let it hang over your blazer, jean jacket or a tee. I love this simple look. Add a vintage rhinestone shoe clip for a little something extra.
When in doubt, belt it. Over a blazer, a jacket or a long button down. Give yourself a waist and your belts a break.
Here I just tied one end of the scarf to my bralette. Let it hang straight down and peek out under any jacket or blazer or bring it forward and tuck it under a belt. I would advise whatever direction you want your scarf to hang to tie the other end on the opposite side. I love this look for when I am feeling extra lazy but want an extra punch with minimum effort.
I always love a little tie around the neck, I would have been a great flight attendant on The Concorde. Here I tied it into a bow but brought one loop all the way through so I was only left with one. It feels less stuffy that way to me.
That’s it for now, I’ll be back soon, I promise. The locksmith comes tomorrow and these freeloaders will be out by noon. As always send your Dirty Laundry to sarahsdirtylaundry@gmail.com
