Sure, you liked the sweaters, you liked my video showing you all the ways to wear your sweater, but you also really liked those extra things. The chain loafers, the extra wide pants, the neon heels, the navy pencil skirt…here are some of those things featured in my posts so you can create your own fabulous look.
Chain Loafers: Never met a loafer I didn’t like. Ones that have extra bling hold a soft spot for me. Any loafers, these included look great with jeans, wide legged pants, socks, tights, skirts and ankle length pants.
Wide Balloon Pants: My favorite pants, hands down. Got a version of the below in Japan and have all 3 colors. I love the casual vibe I get when wearing with a tee and sneakers but also the understated elegance when paired with heels and a nice top. If they are too long I suggest taking them to the cleaners and shortening them to ankle length. Seeing the ankle bone is a great way to help elongate the leg no matter your height. Also anytime you can have a break from pant to shoe allows for a less heavy and chunky feeling. Note that many of these pants come from the Men’s department, so size accordingly.
Navy Pencil Skirt. You can’t go wrong with this type of skirt. I love a pencil skirt any day of the week. Not sure why the draw but I just can’t get enough. Maybe it is the way this type of skirt hugs whatever curves I have and feels easy to pair with something tight or oversized. This one from Zara was a great find. It is simple and I love the length on me, it works with boots and flats.
If Zara isn’t your jam, here are a few other options.
Neon Orange Kitten Heel. No shoe I own has received more compliments than this one. It acts as a neutral and goes with everything. Giving the most basic or the most sophisticated of looks something extra. I purchased my neon orange Manolos a million years ago at a consignment store in California. While I can’t track down the exact pair, here are some neon orange heels that can do the same for your looks that they do for mine.
Thank you for this! I need to wear my chunky black loafers more. Inspired to make some new looks with them. Also, this post reminded me that I have a pair of red/orange heels from J.Crew (Jenna Lyons Era) in my closet that I am digging out and going to style ASAP!!! BTW love the videos for visual inspiration and combinations...visual learner I am...thanks Sarah!!!
H&M has some neon orange kitten heels to die for! Orange and navy look great together!
