Vacay + I got sick + my kid had a birthday = just a quick bite
Big, bold and dangling…here is a round up of some of my favorite big rhinestone earrings, which I love for all occasions.
I can be a lazy dresser, so accessories—large earrings in this case—are my easy go-to accessory when I don’t want to think about my look or I am just too exhausted to care. I often wear these bold earrings with my more casual looks. I love wearing them with a track-suit, jeans and a t-shirt, paired with a mens inspired tailored suit or a simple evening dress. To avoid a prom look, don’t pair too much other jewelry when wearing big earrings like this. Keep hair and makeup simple and understated. Try pulling one side of your hair back and just wearing one big dangly earring.
Earrings like these don’t have to cost a lot of money, there are trade offs. Basically if they are not real diamonds you are either buying crystal, glass or plastic rhinestones. It doesn't mean one rhinestone is better than the other. I have a variety of earrings with different types of rhinestones, I buy what I like, so for me in this category it doesn’t matter. It does however mean there will be a difference in price. The cheaper plastic rhinestones may look just that, cheap and feel less weighted but also will cost less money. Vintage rhinestones may have a yellow tint, which I don’t always mind. I recently learned it isn’t actually the rhinestone that has turned yellow, but the backing that causes that color change. Here is a video to help you clean your vintage rhinestones.
